<br />
The hotel was away from the busy and buzzing city and the only nearest mall was the New Town Plaza which was around 10 minutes taxi ride. <br />
<br />
I like the serenity of the environment.<br />

<br />
Here is the refreshing wonderful view of the tea plantation.<br />
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/hancheng_tan/16747203922" title="Tea Plantation by Han Cheng Tan, on Flickr"><img alt="Tea Plantation" height="378" src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8630/16747203922_ebe002c1e8_c.jpg" width="800" /></a><br />
<br />
We stayed at the villas inside Yearning Vacation Village. This is the area in our room where we can sit together to sip Chinese tea.<br />
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/hancheng_tan/16747209752" title="Yearning Vacation Village Villa by Han Cheng Tan, on Flickr"><img alt="Yearning Vacation Village Villa" height="534" src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8591/16747209752_98641278fc_c.jpg" width="800" /></a><br />
<br />
The hotel lobby building is round, looking a-like to those traditional Hakka round houses. This is in fact the dining area and hotel lobby.<br />

It is just opposite across the road.<br />
<br />
I consider it as one of the more expensive massage in Bangkok. However, they offer excellent massage services. The old lady that provided my massage service applied enough strength and pressure. My muscles and joints were well loosen and you feel relaxed after the massage.<br />
<br />
You have to make advance booking via their website before arrival. It seems that Urban Retreat is also quite popular with Singaporeans and tourists.<br />
<br />
I tried the Oriental Massage package which includes <br />
40 min Foot Massage<br />
10 min Head and Shoulder Massage<br />
70 min Thai Massage with Herbal Compress Balls<br />
<br />

Here, you can find gifts, clothings, accessories, toys, home decor and much more. I feel this mall is targeted for the more younger crowd.<br />
<br />
Every floor of the mall, you can find a different theme. From New York, London, Japan to Istanbul styled theme etc.<br />
<br />
Istanbul style lightings<br />

<br />
I booked the Hotel Suite in Princess Pathumwan at a promotional price of $148++ per night. I choose Princess Pathumwan because it is conveniently situated beside MBK (Ma Boon Khrong) shopping mall.<br />
<br />
The room was clean and spacious.<br />

<strong><u>Day 1 - Arrival at Grand Lexis Port Dickson</u></strong></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went for a short getway with my friends to Port Dickson in Malaysia. We selected Grand Lexis as our place to stay. It was around 3 hours drive from Singapore. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<a href="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8564/15268965673_8386393ab5_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8564/15268965673_8386393ab5_z.jpg" /></a><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We chose to stay in the Water Villa.</div>

We visited the tallest building in Taiwan which is the Taipei 101. The queue was pretty long. We queued for around 20 minutes to take the elevator up the tower.<br />
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/hancheng_tan/15815405060" title="Taipei 101 by Han Cheng Tan, on Flickr"><img alt="Taipei 101" height="427" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7545/15815405060_c10f89bb56_z.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
City view from Taipei 101.<br />

<br />
Guess what this big pendulum is? It is actually for neutralizing the effects of the typhoon. When typhoon hits Taipei 101, this pendulum will sway and neutralize the vibrations.<br />
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/hancheng_tan/15816669219" title="Taipei 101 by Han Cheng Tan, on Flickr"><img alt="Taipei 101" height="427" src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8619/15816669219_bd2d09a8d5_z.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
At the rooftop of Taipei 101, this is another beautiful night view of Taipei city.<br />
