Malaysia - 3 Days 2 Night Short Getaway to Grand Lexis at Port Dickson (22nd to 24th Nov 2014)

Day 1 - Arrival at Grand Lexis Port Dickson
I went for a short getway with my friends to Port Dickson in Malaysia. We selected Grand Lexis as our place to stay. It was around 3 hours drive from Singapore.

We chose to stay in the Water Villa.

Our bedroom.

The toilet which is very spacious.

The best thing about Grand Lexis is that there is a swimming pool right in our room. We chose to stay on the second level where the pool is outside. If you choose the first level, the swimming pool is indoors.

View from the multi-storey carpark in Grand Lexis.

The hotel offers some activities like sumo wrestling, archery, beach volley ball etc.

Beautiful seaview of the water villas we are staying in.

Lunch at a nearby coffeeshop.

Dinner at a nearby Seafood Restaurant. The food is fresh, delicous and value for money. All the below for around 141 ringgit.

Butter Squid

Mixed Vegetables

Hot plate beancurd

Thai style fried chicken

Day 2 at Port Dickson
Grand Lexis offers a decent international buffet breakfast. For a single adult, it is around 41 ringgit.

Half boiled eggs, bake beans, hash brown, ham and bread. Simple and delicious.

We went to a place called PD Waterfront which is at Port Dickson. There are many food places but we chose to eat dinner at Kenny Roosters. We took the family meal which is around 130 ringgit. It consist of 8 side dishes, 1 1/2 chicken and 6 muffins.

After dinner, we chilled out at Starbucks.

People playing bubbles at the beach at PD Waterfront. Life is so simple here at Port Dickson.

Day 3 - Home
We checked out at 12pm. Goodbye and here we go back home to Singapore!

Taipei Day 5 - Tallest building in Taiwan - Taipei 101

We visited the tallest building in Taiwan which is the Taipei 101. The queue was pretty long. We queued for around 20 minutes to take the elevator up the tower.

Guess what this big pendulum is? It is actually for neutralizing the effects of the typhoon. When typhoon hits Taipei 101, this pendulum will sway and neutralize the vibrations.
